ONLY IN PERIODICITY

i'm still trying to write out the story for these guys but!! some creative writing portfolio stuff for them!!
people really loved them in my class :') major step up compared to last year where I was too shy to elaborate on them in front of ppl
anyways these are all from the beginning of the story plot-wise where they're all meeting each other for the first time and mega confused about life and the universe HAHA

hydrogen wakes up one day in a hospital and realizes she was supposed to be dead from drowning and not even named hydrogen at all; meanwhile sodium wakes in an apartment freaked out about what's happening. the two find each other after a few days of going to the beach and because they're both visibly nonhuman (aka an Element) they hit it off despite their differences! so they aimlessly go around the city looking for more Elements to connect with and befriend since the rest of society is freaked out

silicon basically met hydro and sody when they saved their life from an electrical accident, and from there, silicon suggests they should do this for a living where they meet and save other Elements from loneliness and give them a lil shelter and so! all three of them start working on making the main building

after they get their building permits chromium (a secretary for the office shrouded in a thick coat of mystery and trenchiness) finds them and asks for them to fix her and somehow they all come to the same thinking point about giving or not giving her Robot Legs... hydrogen learns to actually Listen to people when they are Sad and chromium learns that actually Life is not all that Bad

mercury (overseas) who, pre-transformation, was seeing her superior, defends herself once he goes too far beyond her comfort zone and basically turns into mercury after being held face-deep in a vat of mercury; she makes it through her trial with her powers of mind-manipulation (if you ingest her mercury hair you are pretty much under her control!) and learns of this Periodicity building and gets real attached to sodium Real quick. a fight ensues after mercury is dead-set convinced chromium is seeing him but once sodium actually finds out she likes him he takes so much freaking pity on her that he thinks he likes her too! (which is gonna be a regrettable decision later down the line but regardless)

that is more or less the gist of it! there's way more to the story in my head with all the characters and conflicts but over the course of a semester that's what I got :)
